Renewable Energy Subsidy
A new renewable energy subsidy via Feed in Tariffs (FiTs), aimed at encouraging the development of renewable energy, was introduced by the government in 2010. FiTs offer a fixed payment per kilowatt hour of renewable energy generated, varying across technologies including solar and wind. The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has set FiTs at a level which will offer projects a generous return on investment. Feed-in Tariffs will be offered for a 20 year period, with the exception of solar PV projects for which the period will be 25 years.
Solar Photovoltaic Panels
Solar panels are a popular way to invest in your home and your energy future, the age of cheap energy is over and it is vital for all households to reduce their dependence on expensive fossil fuels. Installing solar panels currently represents the best investment, increasing your property’s value. Solar panels can reduce your energy bills and your family’s carbon footprint for 30+ years. Any surplus solar power can be sold back to the National Grid. Argus Limited have experience in installing such systems and can provide advice on the best products currently on the market.
If you are thinking about reducing your energy consumption or providing a multi-site energy solution for your business then all round environmental benefits can be delivered by high performance wind turbines which are reliable and robust generating power in both light and strong winds. Turbines are designed to minimise noise and maintenance and run the system automatically with no specialist skills required. Wind turbines harness the power of the wind and as the blades are forced round these drive a turbine which generates electricity. Argus Limited have experience in working with wind turbines and can provide advice on installations and systems.
